The Temple of God Part 2: What is God’s way for us to stay connected to the “Vine”, to Him?

The Temple of God Part. 2...
What is God’s way for us to stay connected to the "Vine", to Him?

The Temple of God (2)

“Where lives change and where life can begin again”

I must admit, it disturbs me and hurts my heart to see the lack of reverence and honor today,

for God and for His church, (His Temple). He made such preparation for the house of God;

how it would look and how the priest and others should perform their service in the House

of God. It was and is still a big deal to Him.

Capturing the love of God again is where we must strive diligently as His people. We must

seize back the love into our hearts and lives. We must resist allowing people, things,

activities or anything to get in the way of our relationship with the Father.

It is that connection to the Father that gives us the identity that we need, to know who we

are in Him. Never allow yourself to be bound by the “shackles” and “heaviness” of the world.

All that tries to attach itself to us and pull us down to a meager and lower existence than

God intended for us.

He expects us to soar like eagles and not to “grovel” on the ground finding crumbs and

barely getting by. Rather, His desire is to join us as we sit at the King’s table as kings

and priests, eating the meal of Royalty!

The way God designed us to grow in wisdom and knowledge of who we are, is to be in

the HOUSE. (The temple), His church.

Romans 10:13-17 (NKJV)… 13 For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they

believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the

feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But

they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” 17

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Faith comes by hearing! Are you giving yourself time to hear the Word of God? It is

your strength, your peace, your joy, your healing, your prosperity and all the things in

life that you need and desire.

I realize that finding a church that teaches you these things can be challenging, but if

they are not teaching you and building you up to a place of strength and knowledge,

move on and find a church that will help you work on… “building up yourselves on

your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 20). Find, plant (yourself)

and grow in a place that teaches you solely from the Word of God!

The Word is designed by God for his people to grow and worship and be connected to

Him. Sometimes the truth of God’s Word will stretch you, and it does not always feel

comfortable, but rest assured that God is doing great things in you!

Paul exhorts the people that are under his charge in Ephesians:

Ephesians 1:15-22 (NKJV)…15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus

and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you

in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you

the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your

understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what

are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding

greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power

20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right

hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion,

and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. 22 And

He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23

which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Note: You should be growing in these things in the Church.

1. You should be growing in wisdom (Spirit, Soul and Body)

2. Growing in revelation of the knowledge of Jesus Christ

3. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened. Your understanding of the

scriptures should light up like a bulb when we read the Word.

4. Growing in the knowledge of the hope of His calling. Beginning to understand

and growing in the meaning of the calling of Jesus to come to this world for us

and to die and be raised again and the importance of His leaving and sending the

Holy Spirit to be here with us.

5. Understanding your inheritance in the saints. We have a hope far beyond this

earth and this “now” existence.

6. Understanding we no longer fight alone, but Jesus put all things under our feet.

For we are the Body of Christ and we are the ones that fill all in all. We walk in

His authority.

We don’t fight with carnal weapons, but our weapons are spiritual and powerful. (2

Corinthians 10:4)

Where did I learn these things? I learned these things in the local church. I met Jesus

many years before I joined a church, but my true growth and learning did not begin

until I became committed to a local church and remained planted.

HOMEWORK:

A good teacher always gives out homework. (LOL)

Read Ephesians 1:17-22 – Personalize these scriptures and read them each morning.

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to me the spirit of

wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, and that the eyes of my understanding

being enlightened; that I may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches

of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His

power towards me who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which

He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right

hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and

dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is

to come. And He put all things under His (and my) feet, and gave Him to be head over

all things to the church, which is His body (that’s me), the fullness of Him who fills all

in all.

I pray this message helped you and strengthened you in your walk with Christ. Find a

good church that teaches the Word of God and teaches you who you are in Christ

Jesus.

You are someone special in God’s eyes. More powerful than you know. God makes no

junk, just “jewels”…King’s kids.
