Faith 101 Part 2 – Your Faith Can Move Mountains

Faith 101 – Part 2
Your Faith Can Move Mountains

Faith 101

“Where lives change and where life can begin again”

Last week we defined faith as the substance of things that we are hoping for and

the evidence of things not seen. Faith solidifies and brings into reality what

cannot be seen with the natural eye. It is already seen in the spirit.

Let’s come to an understanding, this is not achieved through the natural mind.

This is only understood through the eye of the spirit of faith.

1 Corinthians 2:14

14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they

are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually

discerned.

Faith is developed through time spent with God and a decision to trust and love

Him although I cannot see this with my natural eye. I choose to have faith. And

after my choosing, I develop and build my faith through the Word of God.

Mark 11:22-24

22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say

to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and

does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done,

he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask

when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

I have come to learn that the words that Jesus spoke were instructional and highly

important to our growth and well-being.

As disciples of Jesus, he taught them many things, even as he is teaching us now.

First, have faith in God. Sounds simple, but so complex for the human mind. The

human mind wants to be in control and God says, “trust me and allow Me to be in

control.” My suggestion to you is, let Him!

Second, we have power in what we say, whether faith-filled or not. Words full of

faith are extremely powerful. They can move mountains. However, words full of

“venom” (doubt and unbelief) are also powerful. They can destroy lives and cause

much pain.

Proverbs 18:21

Death and life are in the power of the tongue,

And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Be careful, sometimes others are living from the fruit of your lips.

When Jesus said, “…whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into

the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says

will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

Your tongue or mouth is a powerful tool of good or evil. Be careful what you say.

It can hurt or heal.

What comes out of your mouth is what you believe in your heart.

Luke 6:45

45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an

evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the

abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Fill your mouth with faith-filled words, bringing forth the good treasure that is in

you.

When you are made in the image of God, you have a responsibility to be a good

steward over your words and your life to bring forth life, light, and love.

Genesis 1:26

26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let

them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over

the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the

earth.”

We were designed to be as creative as God and have dominion to do good and be

the steward over life on earth. God spoke, and all things were created, we speak,

and we create. That is how God created us.

What are you creating today? Move the “mountains” from your life and start

creating a life full of good and productive fruit. Know that when you pray, God

hears you. More than that, He hears your faith. Faith can move mountains. Let’s

move some mountains today! Even if you can’t see it, trust Him, it’s moving!
