Faith 101 – Part 8
You’re Not Alone! - You Are A Hero of Faith Too

“Where lives change and where life can begin again”
The hardest part of walking by faith is feeling as if you are all alone. You’re
fighting and speaking and standing and crying and dancing and yet you feel like
you are alone in the fight for your faith.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV)
13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God
is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but
with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to
bear it.
One of the attributes I love about God is that He will never put more on us than
we can bear. Everything that we deal with is common in the Body of Christ. There
are others that can tell you the story of their deliverance, their healing, and the
breakthroughs in their lives. We have plenty of amazing examples of faith and
success in the Word. Even Jesus said that “a servant is not greater than his
master.” (Mt. 10:24) In other words, since He had to endure, we also must endure.
We too will go through our times of trials, testing’s, and temptations, but Jesus
said “…be of good cheer, I have already overcome the world.” (John 16:33b)
That’s good news!
Isaiah 41:10 (Amplified)
‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you;
Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you;
I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of
power, of victory, of salvation].’
Faith and fear are total opposites. One cancels out the other. Faith will cancel out
fear and fear will cancel out faith. To keep your faith strong and keep fear in
check, your spirit must be fed each day with the faith-filled words of God. It must
be fed faith-filled messages by faith-filled ministers of God. I know I couldn’t
have made it this far without faith-filled men and women of God that fed my faith
and kept me strong.
Psalm 1:2-3
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law, he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
In our meditation of the Word, faith comes. The strengthening of our faith brings
confidence and power. We need it to live in this world today. And all that you are
believing for from God is on its way.
Hebrews 11:7
7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly
fear (faith in God), prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he
condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to
faith.
There is promotion and reward for those that walk by faith and in obedience to
what God has said to them. Noah ignored the laughter and harsh remarks and
remembered always what God had said to him.
We must remember what God has said to us.
Hebrews 11:8-10
8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he
would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was
going. 9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling
in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; 10 for he
waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
There is always a great promise and reward behind every act of obedience.
Our highest priority must be looking for God every day to fulfill the call and
destiny that each one of us has. You’re not an accident or a mistake. God made
you for a reason, but by faith, we must go after our destiny. You are not alone,
and you aren’t the first person to walk by faith in this world. Use the examples
that you know and draw strength from them. Be determined to walk by faith and
receive all the promises that God has for you.
Matthew 4:4 (NKJV)
4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but
by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’
We can’t continue to live our lives by every circumstance that comes up in our
lives. Allowing those circumstances to drag us around like a “rag doll.” We live by
faith and not by sight, or we will be tossed by everything that Satan brings in
front of us. But we choose to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of
God. And then we will have good success!
