Where Lives Change – “Where”
After writing this devotional for some time now, I realized that I had a statement on my devotional that no one other than myself or our church really understood. I would dare say that most of our church probably rarely hears it or even knows that it exists.
One day I was preparing for a message at our church and praying and seeking direction on what to teach about and how to go about doing it, and God spoke these words to me, “What is LifePointe all about?”. “Why are your doors open?” I instantly said, “Why do You want them to be open, God?” God said, “I want lives to change, and for them to realize that life can begin again and that It is their choice!” With each step that we make toward God, He honors it with joy and encouragement to not quit.
Galatians 6:9 New King James Version
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
So many times, Satan convinces us that we have done so many bad things that God could never love us. Convincing us that life could never start again with God loving me and supporting me. That is not a truth! The “enemy of our souls” comes to lie to us in our minds and it sinks down into our hearts and convinces us of these negative things about ourselves. But always, God says something totally different. We must know what God says about us in His Word. The truth is God’s mercy endures forever.(Psalm 136:1-9) That nothing can separate us from His love.(Romans 8:38-39) He will never leave us or forsake us.(Hebrews 13:5)
It is important to know what God has said about you. It is important to learn and grow and know the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit. As a young girl, I knew some things about God, and a little about Jesus, but so much of the Bible I did not know or understand. My growth came when I found my “Where”. The(Local)? Church.
Exodus 25:8 NKJV
And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell amongthem.
The Church is the place where we change and grow and understand deeper the truths of the Word of God. It is a place to come to meet God and spend time in His presence. TheChurch begins to teach you the basics of Christianity and forming a true and lasting relationship with the Father. It’s where I began to learn about myself and who I was as a child of God and the power that God placed on the inside of me. I received confidence through the Word and the teaching that I heard. I knew then that God was with me always and would never leave me. I was protected, secure in Him, strong and confident in who I was as an individual and God’s daughter. It was extremely cool! From that point on, I never looked back.
The world has its own definition of the “Church”, but I have my pastoral experience and my God-given understanding of theChurch.
The world would say taken from the Merriam – Webster Dictionary; 1: a building for public and especially Christian worship. 2: the clergy or officialdom of a religious body.
The Church is a place of corporate worship and adoration tothe Father from the saints of God, very true, but so much more. It is a place of equipping and learning for “spiritural warfare” and the fight that is to come each day of our lives. To learn completely who we are as children of the Most High God and how blessed, secure, equipped, and powerful we really are. To come together as a body of believers, to draw strength from one another, and to build each other up in our most holy faith; allowing “iron to sharpen iron” each time we gather together. To leave from the Church equipped, encouraged, full of faith, ready to encounter the enemy with the Word of God in our mouths and standing strong for God each day!
Our “Where” is the Church! It is where we are transformed, molded into the image of Christ, our “spiritual muscles” are built up, our armor is on and we are ready for the “fight” of our lives, literally.
The most important lesson we learn in the Church is “WE WIN”. So often we feel defeated, abandoned, scared and unprepared. We learn that, Satan comes to steal, kill and to destroy. He comes to steal the knowledge that God has placed in our hearts from the pages of His Word and to kill the hope and faith onthe inside of us and to eventually destroy any hope that we would have for eternal life with God.
So, our “Where” is an important part of our success. If you don’t have a “Where” or a Church today, find one! It is your place of transformation into the best you, you have ever experienced. If we come in “hungry” and looking for the right thing, which is God Himself, you will never be the same again and that is a good thing. If you aren’t changing, it isn’t the right place. If you aren’t challenged in your faith and moving from “faith to faith,” you are not in the right place. Find a church that will compel you to read, study, fellowship, worship, and love like you have never done before!
Where is your “Where”? Ask God today and keep searching until you find that right place. It’s where your life is going to change for the better and forever!

The Power of Words – “The Word of God”
Joshua 1:8-9 Expanded Bible
·Always remember [LDo not let depart from your mouth] what is written in the Book of the ·Teachings [Law]. ·Study [Meditate on] it day and night to be ·sure [careful; diligent] to obey everything that is written there. If you do this, you will be ·wise [prudent; successful] and ·successful [prosperous]·in everything [or along life’s path; along the way]. ·Remember that I [LHave I not…?] commanded you to be strong and ·brave [courageous; resolute]. Don’t be afraid or ·discouraged [dismayed], because the Lord your God will be with you ·everywhere you go [or in all you do].”
We must never forget as we read the bible, that God intends for theblessing to be for everyone, not just Joshua or others that He speaks to in the bible. As God is encouraging one with wisdom and instruction, He is speaking to all of us. As He is encouraging Joshua to “be strong and of a good courage”, He is speaking to you as well.
The importance of the Word of God is so vital to our success in our life’s “journey”. Whether our journey is long or short, we must apply thetruths of the Word to our lives to receive the fullness of what God desires to bring to our lives. You will notice that God said for the Word of God not to depart from (his) your mouth. In other words, never stop speaking it, declaring it, speaking it over everything for success and prosperity in every area of your life. In doing this, you will draw strength and power from the Word of God that will successfully take you to your destiny.
Proverbs 4:20-22 Expanded Bible
20 My ·child [Lson], pay attention to my words;
    ·listen closely to what I say [Lbend your ear to my speech].
21 Don’t ·ever forget my words [Llet your eyes slip];
    ·keep them always in mind [Lguard them in your heart].
22 They are ·the key to life [Llife] for those who find them;
    they bring health to the whole body.
When I was battling with sickness and disease in my body, I meditated on this scripture for years until I saw no symptom in my body. Sometimes it takes years to see a manifestation in your body, but never give up. God is at work in you and for you. I would never tell you to not seek the help of a doctor, but what I will tell you is never stop saying the Word of God over your life. It does indeed bring health and healing and life to you!
…because the Lord your God will be with you ·everywhere you go [or in all you do].” (Joshua 1:9)
God will never leave you alone to fight. He sent His Spirit to be inside of us to teach us all things. (John 14:26) We have angels that protect us and will stand with us and minister for us as we speak the Word. (Ps 91:11-12, Heb 1:14) God has placed His Word here to give us the life-giving source that we need to thrive in this world.
Psalms 1:2-3 Expanded Bible
They ·love [delight in] the Lord’s ·teachings [laws; instructions],
    and they ·think about [meditate on] those ·teachings[laws; instructions] day and night.
They are like a tree planted by ·a river [Lstreams of water; Cfull of life, strong, vibrant].
    The tree produces fruit in season,
    and its leaves don’t ·die [wither].
Everything they do will ·succeed [prosper].
Before we become truly successful in every area of our lives, whether it looks like it or not, we must realize the importance of the life-giving source of the Word of God. It is our instruction, wisdom, encouragement, peace and confidence in the One that made us and loves us. The Word of God (spoken) out of our mouths sends the power of God’s words into the atmosphere to change, mold, restore, rejuvenate and bring all things to life. If our negative words are hitting the atmosphere agreeing with what we see and feel, our lives go on a downward spiral toward destruction and the god of this world catches our words and tries to bring s them to pass.
Whose words are you speaking? Your words are vital to your success and victory. Line your words up with the words of God. Believe that your success is imminent for this is the promise of God!
As we end this series on The Power of Words, consider from this day forward what you are saying over your life. You are accountable for every idle word, [Matthew 12:36] because your words are extremely powerful. What you speak is being created, so always consider thewords that you speak!

Power of Words – “Good Words””

Power of Words – “Good Words”
For the last couple of weeks, we have been talking about the power of our words.
Proverbs 18:21 The Message Words kill, words give life;     they’re either poison or fruit—you choose.
Another translation states, “Death and Life are in the power of the tongue.” We all must remember that what we say influences our world around us and in us. The words that I say begin to effect what I think about myself and about the journey that I am on. When we are traveling on a journey of faith, we must remember that what we see currently, is not always what the end will look like. We must keep traveling on the “road” and the changes will come based on what we say and believe.
Proverbs 23:7 New King James Version For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…
Luke 6:45 New King James Version A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
We are talking today about “good words”. The treasure of what we have placed in our heart, begins to come out of our mouth. It can be a treasure of bad or a treasure of good. It is totally based on what we have stored up in our hearts. Just think, if God had said just what He saw instead of what he believed in His heart. God had a treasure in His heart of a sun, moon, plants, water and earth. He saw in His heart a man and woman to be just like Him. I believe that He still sees that image in His heart; and what He believes will still come to manifestation.
What can good words do?
Proverbs 16:24 New King James Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.
Pleasant words surround you with goodness and peace. Peace in this world today is essential to success. When we begin to worry and be afraid and complain about the things and situations in our life, it leads us to despair and depression and confusion. Those negative expressions of our feelings are not from God. God comes to bring us peace and strength and wisdom for all situations in our lives. (John 14:27, Ps 31:24, James 1:5)
One of the most difficult things to do is to stop and think about what we say in a very hard situation. My prayer is that after this devotional you will begin to think about your words more and more. The words that you speak over your children, your spouse, your finances, your job and co-workers are essential to the outcome of your situation. Even your body listens to your words. If you are facing a disease or sickness today, begin to speak the Word of God over your body. Begin to say words of healing over your body and begin to meditate those scriptures and see (envision) yourself healed and whole. Your words will begin to frame your world. In Proverbs 16:24, it says our pleasant or good words is healing to our bones.
Mark 11:23-24 Expanded Bible I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘·Go [Be lifted up], fall into the sea.’ And if you have no doubts in your ·mind [heart] and believe that what you say will happen, ·God will do it for you [it will be done for you]24 So I tell you to believe that you have received ·the things [everything] you ask for in prayer, and ·God will give them to you [you will receive them].
At some point we must start believing what the bible says. God has spoken many things that are hard to imagine to the limited mind that we have created for ourselves. But we are called to renew our minds to the things of God, so that we can see the goodness and power of our God and what He has placed on the inside of us.
Our Faith! We have faith to move mountains and remove diseases and even to raise the dead; according to the bible. Huh!! We must renew our mind to the truth of who we are and who God is, or we will miss out on the fullness of what God has called us to do on this earth. I don’t want to miss one thing!
Consider your words. Good words fill your atmosphere with good and surrounds you with the presence of God. When bad or negative words fill your atmosphere, it pushes God away and He simply cannot be God over those words. Always remember there is a god of this world that will gladly take what you say and use it against you and try to bring to pass every bad thing that you and I say.
Let’s empower the angels of heaven to take our words and bring to pass all the things that we are believing for. Fill our atmosphere with the good words of the Word of God and positive words that will frame our world with the desires of our heart as well as the desires of God.
