Prayer Part 3
The Power in Prayer

Prayer

“Where lives change and where life can begin again”

Pretty much, people know the power that God has in prayer. However,

did you know the power that YOU have in prayer? Prayer power comes

from your mouth to God’s ears. Actually, you are activating heaven, to

move earth, to get what we need!

Matthew 21:22 (NKJV)

22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

That’s pretty powerful! It says in this scripture, “Believing”. Sometimes

we ask God for things in fear, in need, in greed, and many more

emotions and circumstances. But Jesus said, WHATEVER things you ask

in prayer, believing, you will receive.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. (Rom 10:17)

When we begin our prayers in faith, we must know God hears us and

believe God’s love to answer us. But more than all of that, we must

know the power of God is on the inside of us and things begin to

happen when we pray in faith, believing!

John 14:13 (NKJV)

13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may

be glorified in the Son.

We have not been put on this earth for just ourselves. God wants us to

richly enjoy everything, (1 Tim 6:17) however, our main objective here is

to glorify Him. He knows that as we become “one” with Him, His wants

become our wants, and His desires, become our desires. As we spend

more time in His presence, in prayer, we know Him more and we both

have the same objective, the saving of souls.

God decided before He created us, that He was going to give us

dominion (power) over the earth, but Adam and Eve sinned and altered

the plan a little. How many of you know that God always has a plan and

it never changes? He started with us being in charge and He will end

with us being in charge. I hope that gives you insight into who God

created you to be. He made you to be powerful. That is why it is so

important to watch what we say and to learn the power of our words.

(Proverbs 18:21)

When we pray, we are speaking words of faith into the atmosphere, all

of heaven (and hell) hears and responds. There is power in what we say,

negative or positive. Let’s look closer at Proverbs 18:21.

Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV)

21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,

And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Sometimes we love to complain because it makes us feel better to tell

our story to others about what’s going on in our lives. On the other

hand, if we are saying exactly what is going on in our lives negatively,

instead of what God has said about our lives, we get the fruit of our

lips. Everybody goes through something and the old saying is “misery

loves company”. But we declare that we are not miserable, but

overcomers over all adversity in our lives. Our outcome depends on our

words and our words must be mixed with what God has said; FULL Of

FAITH! (see below)

Hebrews 4:2 (NKJV)

2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the

word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith

in those who heard it.

Our words or prayers not mixed with faith do not profit us the way

we think they should. Be careful over your words and prayers, because

they are being heard. The angels are waiting on your words to do and

to minister.

Psalm 103:20 (NKJV)

20 Bless the Lord, you His angels,

Who excel in strength, who do His word,

Heeding the voice of His word.

The Word mixed with our faith out of our mouths is powerful indeed. It

is life or death! Life or Death to your family, your marriage, your

finances, your healing to your body and so many other things. Be

mindful of your words and water your prayers with good, God-filled

words.

Your prayers are changing more than you know. When you set your

heart to pray, all of heaven waits for your words!

What are you saying? Say what God says! It’s Powerful!
