Prayer Part 5
Prayer in Pure Love

Prayer

“Where lives change and where life can begin again”

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade

itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own,

is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices

in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things,

endures all things. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

This definition does not demand perfection, but a pure desire to be all

these things and to strive for them all. It does not mean that you will

always hit the mark, but the mark is your aim. The only man that hit

the mark was Jesus in all that He did for the Kingdom and for the

Father.

1 Samuel 16:7 (NKJV)

7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his

physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see

as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord

looks at the heart.”

I am so thankful for the loving grace of God and His love for all of us.

He does not look at our mistakes, however, He looks at the heart of a

man to pray and believe Him in His word. God looks at the man that

desires the truth yet stumbles and gets up to strive to do better. Your

prayers to the Father reach higher with a “pure love” than those that are

just seeking the “hand” of God and not the “face” of God to spend

time in His presence.

A “pure love” does not seek its own, but the betterment of those around

him.

Matthew 9:36 (NKJV)

36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for

them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no

shepherd.

He saw them, and He loved them! The fruit and characteristic of God

is love. God is love. (1 John 4:8) It doesn’t matter how “dirty” you are or

even what sin you are in right now. He still came to save you and to

draw you near to Him, to show you how beautiful you are; and how

clean you are, if you will accept it. God is so wonderfully relentless that

He will never give up on you. That is wonderful to know!

When you pray, it is out of a pure heart that we cry out to God and love

people just like Jesus did. He showed compassion and love for all. We

don’t see them in their “dirt,” but we see them in their clean white

robes, and covered in the blood of Jesus as God does. God sees us

through the blood of Jesus. God sees us through the prayers of the

righteous and sees the already finished product. He calls us the way we

will be and not the way we are. (Romans 4:16) He sees us through the

eyes of faith. That is also how we must see others when we pray.

Through that pure heart of love.

Mark 11:25 (NKJV)

25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against

anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you

your trespasses.

There is not one person that is perfect, and each person strives and

grows at different levels, so we must have a forgiving heart of love and

reach out in truth and compassion to all. Prayer is a precious time with

God and we must first cleanse ourselves and come purely before the

throne of God with an open heart to give and receive. This time with

God, is His time to pour Himself into you so that you can give Him away

to others. It is the same love that you have received, then we must

freely give it away.

Take the challenge today to forgive yourself and to receive the love that

God has for you. Embrace the pureness of God’s heart and let Him fill

you up. I challenge you to give it away to someone that needs that

touch from God today.

Your prayers change the heart of humanity and it is changing your

family and your marriage, and your children, one “pure-hearted” prayer

at a time.

Don’t give up, the Father is listening and is touched by your love.

He is moving on your behalf! You are just one moment away!

Don’t stop praying! (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
