Psalm 23 Part 3
He Restores My Soul

“Where lives change and where life can begin again”

The Lord began to impress upon me to meditate on Psalm 23 and He began to

reveal such depth to this beautiful psalm. It is a beautiful message of love,

protection, and restoration.

Psalm 23:3

3“He restores my soul…”

Every time that I tried to move on to the next part of this verse, waves of

revelation would flood my heart.

I would hear the Lord say, “tell them about my restoring love.”

The soul is the place where we struggle and the very place that needs saving

and transforming. The soul is the place of pain and disappointments and

“baggage” that should have been thrown away so long ago. It is the place

where we fight and battle for our lives.

But God… It is He who restores our soul.

We have depended on drugs, relationships, love in all the wrong places to

somehow fix our brokenness, but it is only God that can fix and fill our

emptiness.

Romans 12:2 (NKJV)

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of

your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will

of God.

There is a good and acceptable and perfect will of God. It is for your

restoration from this world to a supernatural place where God dwells. A place

that is protected and fortified for our protection and strength. The entrance to

that place is the Word of God. He transforms us daily through the journey of

the revelation of the Word of God. We then realize that we are His children, created

in His image, and to walk in His love. The continual receiving of that knowledge

takes us to the place of restoration and peace. It also takes us to a place of

power and confidence in Him. The old, and negative ways of thinking and acting

will change as the new image begins to show you who you really are.

Renewing your mind on a daily basis is of such great importance! The “enemy

of your soul” is constantly on the prowl, to bombard your mind with your past

mistakes and negative words that have been spoken over you. He also uses old

relationships that have caused you great pain. He feeds you lies and negative

and false information.

Throw it off and cast them out!

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (Amplified)

4 “The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood].

Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5 We are

destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets

itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought

and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ,”

Everything within us wants to fight the world’s way, but that is not profitable for

us. It is a deception that will lead us further into despair and shame.

Recognizing who we are in Him and drawing confidence and faith in the one

who made us, will cause our spiritual eyes to be open to the truth of our power

and abilities. In turn, transforming us and restoring us to the place of power

where God always intended for us to be.

Stand up and know who you are and allow God to restore you day by day into

the man or woman He has called you to be. God has a plan for you and it is full

of love and strength.

Jeremiah 29:11 Amplified Bible (AMP)

11 For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for

peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

God has an expected end for you and it is; complete success in all areas of your

life.

Let’s start with the daily decision to read God’s Word and find out who we are

in Him and begin the restoration process today! It will be a process you won’t

regret.
