The Armor of God Part 6
The Helmet of Salvation
“I know that I know, I’m saved”

“Where lives change and where life can begin again”

The Armor of God is not taught in many churches as I believe that it should be. It

is taught in children’s services or in a bible study every now and then. There

needs to be an understanding in the Body of Christ that we are soldiers fighting

every day for our lives to obtain peace, health, prosperity, and eternal life. I want

to know that my name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. I want to know how to

fight an enemy that I cannot see. I want to know that I have the weapons and the

“know-how” that I need to win the battles. The war has already been won, but

there are battles we must fight until we go “home”. God has given to us

everything that we need to fight and win the battles in our lives, now let’s learn

how to use them!

The Helmet

The Helmet was a beautiful piece of armor. This hand-crafted piece of armor

looked almost like a piece of art. Engravings and designs were hands sculptured

on each helmet. Each one told a different story. Helmets were very heavy and

made with strong metal and sometimes thickened leather. There were plumes of

horsehairs or feathers that stood very high on the helmet. The helmet was not

meant to be hidden. One could see you coming from a long way off.

Our salvation is the most elaborate and specifically designed gift that God has

given to each of us. Each one of us can tell the story of our salvation experience

and how God specifically created us for His kingdom and for His purpose. Your

salvation was never meant to be hidden but rather to stand out strong and bold

for all to see.

You must know who you are and who you have become. Your salvation has

bought you more than a trip to heaven. It has sealed you into the family of God

and made you greater, stronger, wiser, richer, and more loving than you

may realize. It should become our quest to know not only who God is, but who we

are in this world.

You are the healed!

1 Peter 2:24 (Amplified)

24 He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross [willingly offering

Himself on it, as on an altar of sacrifice], so that we might die to sin [becoming

immune from the penalty and power of sin] and live for righteousness; for by His

wounds you [who believe] have been healed.

You are the redeemed!

Ephesians 1:7 (Amplified)

7 In Him we have redemption [that is, our deliverance and salvation] through His

blood, [which paid the penalty for our sin and resulted in] the forgiveness and

complete pardon of our sin, in accordance with the riches of His grace…

You walk in authority!

Luke 10:19 (Amplified)

19 “Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on

serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power

of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.”

I have chosen to tell you through the Word of God, because The Word of God

always tells the story better. It teaches us who we are.

Your helmet (Your Salvation) garrisons about your mind and brings you peace and

security. It slowly transforms you into the image of Christ. Walk out your destiny

knowing who you are. Knowing you are the redeemed, the healed, and the one in

authority. Become a life-long learner of Kingdom understanding and intimately

knowing your Father God. You are now a new creature, created in Christ Jesus.

You may ask, “Why must the salvation process be so slow?” Anything worth

learning takes time and effort. When all is said and done, you will come out as

beautiful as pure gold.

Love your salvation journey, you only get to do it once!
